DOT Interventions

Driver qualification (DQ) and record-keeping errors are common violations on DOT Interventions. These types of errors are easy to avoid:
!) Never use a driver until you have a pre-employment controlled substance test in-hand.
2) Never use a driver without a Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse (DACH) completed pre-employment query stating “Driver not prohibited.”
3) Never use a driver without current medical certification – Best Practice, driver should always have a copy in their possession.
4) Always have a MVR Record Abstract, with current medical certification, in possession.
